Germany Agrees to Compensation for Families of Israeli Athletes Killed at 1972 Olympic Games

MUNICH—Germany and the families of the Israeli athletes killed in a terrorist attack at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 have agreed on compensation for what the relatives say was the mishandling of the attack and its aftermath by German authorities.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said an accord had been reached on compensation for the victims’ families.
