Court Rules that EPA Must Act On Interstate Smog Pollution Blowing into NY and CT from Upwind States

NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Barbara D. Underwood announced a major win in a lawsuit against the Trump EPA. The decision in State of New York and State of Connecticut v. Pruitt and the U.S. EPA orders the EPA to comply with the Clean Air Act’s requirement to address smog pollution from upwind states. In January, New York and Connecticut jointly sued the EPA.
